Derma Plasma Roller, Stamp & Skin Needling Aftercare

This treatment creates very fine micro channels in the skin so we can deliver plasma infusions and serums deeper, and trigger collagen. You will look flushed after your appointment and may feel warm and tight, similar to a light sunburn.

Most redness settles within 24 to 48 hours. Mild dryness or flaking can last a few days as the skin renews.

At a glance

  • Downtime: usually 24 to 72 hours of redness and possible light flaking
  • Key rules: keep it clean, keep it hydrated, avoid heat and heavy exercise, daily SPF
  • Do not use active skincare until we say it is safe to restart

Right after treatment

What you may notice

  • Warm, pink or red skin
  • Slight swelling in some areas
  • Pinpoint redness where the needles have passed

Care

  • Leave the skin product free for at least two to four hours unless we have applied a serum for you
  • Do not touch your face unless your hands are freshly washed
  • Avoid washing your face until the evening

That night

  • Cleanse once with a gentle, non foaming cleanser and cool or lukewarm water
  • Pat dry with a clean towel, no rubbing
  • Apply the calming or hydrating serum we recommended
  • Finish with a simple moisturiser if your skin feels dry or tight
  • No makeup that night

First 24 hours

What you may see

  • Ongoing redness, like a sunburn
  • Mild swelling or puffiness
  • Skin may feel hot, tight or a little rough

Do

  • Keep your head slightly elevated if your face feels puffy
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Use only the gentle cleanser, serum and moisturiser we have advised
  • Apply SPF 50 if you go outside at all

Avoid

  • Exercise or anything that makes you sweat heavily
  • Hot showers, saunas, spas and steam rooms
  • Swimming pools, ocean swims and spas
  • Makeup, brushes and beauty blenders on the treated area
  • Scrubs, cleansing brushes, at home devices

Days 2 to 3

Redness should start to settle and the skin can feel dry or a bit sandpapery.

Care

  • Continue with gentle cleansing morning and night
  • Use a hydrating serum and moisturiser
  • Keep SPF 50 on daily, even if it is cloudy
  • You can usually wear light, clean mineral makeup after 24 hours if the skin is closed and comfortable

Still avoid

  • AHA and BHA acids
  • Retinol or prescription vitamin A
  • Strong vitamin C serums
  • Benzoyl peroxide and strong acne products
  • Hair removal or waxing on the treated area

Days 4 to 7

Most people now see a clearer, smoother texture and glow.

  • You can slowly re introduce your active products if the skin feels calm, starting one at a time and at lower frequency
  • Keep sunscreen as a non negotiable habit
  • Delay any other strong treatments on the same area, such as peels or laser, for at least two weeks unless we have planned it with you

What is normal

These can all sit within a normal healing response in the first few days

  • Red or pink skin that improves each day
  • Mild swelling or puffiness
  • Tightness, dryness or fine flaking
  • Slightly deeper colour in pigmentation before it lightens
