Calm irritation, restore balance, strengthen your skin barrier
Cold Plasma therapy uses CAP (Cold Atmospheric Plasma) and Ozone plasma energy to calm irritation, reduce acne bacteria and restore barrier health. This treatment is non-invasive, safe for most skin types, and particularly effective for acne, rosacea, reactive skin and inflammatory conditions.
It can also be used to support scalp health (balancing dandruff and folliculitis) and treat fungal nails or other microbial imbalances.
At North Skin, we also use Diamond plasma tips for targeted resurfacing. These allow us to refine pores, scars and stretch marks while softening early lines for a smoother, more even finish.

What to expect
Avoid strong actives (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs), exfoliation or harsh treatments for at least 3–5 days before. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup or heavy products. Do not book if you have sunburn, broken skin, active cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area.
The round or comb handpiece glides close to the skin, producing gentle blue-violet arcs. You may feel a light tingling, prickling or warmth, but it is well tolerated and no numbing is needed. Treatments are quick, usually 15–30 minutes depending on the area.We encourage you to bring your AirPods and settle in with a podcast or audiobook, because this is your time to relax while we take care of your skin.
Skin may look slightly flushed or feel tingly, but this settles within a few hours. On the scalp or nails, you may notice a temporary feeling of dryness or tightness.
There is virtually no downtime. You can return to your usual activities straight away. We recommend avoiding makeup, swimming, saunas or direct sun for the first 24 hours, and using SPF daily.
Many clients notice clearer, calmer skin within days. Cold Plasma also works cumulatively – best outcomes are achieved with a series of treatments, especially for acne, rosacea or scalp concerns.
